Heavy Truck Tires

Looking for some heavy truck tires?  If you need a new set of heavy truck tires to go with your rig, there are many different brands and types of tires you can look into.  To start, there is the BFG M/T, Maxxis Buckshot, Super Swamper TSL and Dunlop Mud Rover heavy truck tires.

There are many more to choose from, but those are some of the more popular brands out there.  Of course it completely depends also on what you’re going to be using the tires for.  If you like using your vehicle to drive up and down rocky terrain, you’re going to need a tire specifically designed for that, if you want to drive it over snow and nice, you’re going to need some thinner tires specifically designed for that purpose and if you want to drive your car over sand dunes, start looking for the widest tires you can find.

Really, you need to know what your intended purpose is before you start your search, you also need to know the dimensions of the tires, the last thing you want is to order them and find out they are too big for your rig.  Some people who do this end up having to shave off some of their truck’s frame so that the wheels have enough room, but the other option of course is going to be to return it, and that’s not as easy if you buy the tires online.

So when you go out shopping , here are a few heavy truck tires you may want to consider:

1.  Interco Tire – Super Swamper TSL Bogger Tires

Here are some serious tires built for someone who is into professional mud bogging.  This is a versatile tire though as it is street legal.  This tire will cost you between $235 and $600, but boy will it tear through mud like nothing else.

2.  Maxxis Buckshot Radial Mudder Tire 305x70R-16

Here is a tire that is on the cheaper end of the scale at $215.99.  It has a tread depth of 19/32, tire height of 32.91 and max load of 2910.  The wheel has staggered shoulders, deep lugs and provides superb traction in off road conditions.  It has great durability and it’s casing offers puncture resistance as well.  The tread siping on these give you great control in a number of different weather conditions.

3.  Dunlop Mud Rover 235/75 R15 R 6PR

This is the cheapest of the lot at $108.60 per tire.  Obviously the quality of this is not up to par with the other more expensive tires, but if those were to expensive, consider this.  The tread on this tire offers great traction for the price.

Keep on looking for heavy truck tires outside of these though as I’ve only covered a few, make sure you do thorough research.
